Execution Date for Lima man pushed back again

Lima, OH (WIMA) -- A Lima man on Ohio’s death row has had his execution date pushed back yet again.

Cleveland Jackson's execution is now slated for November of this year.

A federal court order says the state needs to come up with a new execution protocol, after a judge's critique of a sedative used in the

current process.

Jackson is scheduled to die for his role in the 2002 shooting deaths of two girls, one who was 17 and the other was just 3 years old.

Two other people on death row were scheduled to be executed this year, but their dates have been moved back to 2020.
