Lima, OH (WIMA) -- An ATV crash took place along State Route 189 east of Road 17 in Putnam County last night.
The Sheriff's Office says John Fisher of Columbus Grove swerved to avoid striking an animal in the roadway, and was thrown from the ATV.
Fisher struck the pavement, and suffered serious injuries.
He was taken by Life Flight to Mercy Health Saint Rita's.
Fisher was not wearing a helmet, and the incident remains under investigation.
