Lima, OH (WIMA) -- A man walked into the Lima Superior Credit Union location on East Kibby Street on Tuesday, and passed a note to one of the tellers that indicated he was there to rob the bank.

He acted as if he was holding a weapon under a green rag over his hand.

He got an undisclosed amount of money, and then fled on foot, to his car, parked several blocks away.

Photos from bank surveillance footage were posted on Facebook, and a tipster immediately contacted police, identifying the suspect as 63 year old John Jackson of Lima.

Within 3 hours, his vehicle was found on South Elizabeth Street.

Jackson was found with the evidence in his possession, at a home on Greenlawn Avenue.

He is now in the Allen County Jail.
