Putnam Co, OH (WIMA) -- Just after midnight earlier this (Mon) morning, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office heard shots fired while responding to a welfare check at a residence on Road H near Leipsic.
A total of 2 shots were heard, but a few minutes after the second shot was fired, the resident walked out, stating there was no intent to harm law enforcement on the scene.
An unidentified person was taken from the scene by family members for further medical evaluations.
The incident is still under investigation.
