Lima, OH (WIMA) - Allen County Recorder Mona Losh has issued an alert of scams against the citizens of Allen County.
Landowners may receive a notice in the mail stating they must obtain a copy of their deeds or real estate information at an inflated cost of 79 to 99 dollars.
Certified copies can be purchased by mail from the Recorder's office for only 3 dollars per page or 10 cents at the office.
Losh says to call their office at 419-223-8517 if you want to get copies of your documents and report the scam, since it is not necessary to pay that high of a price.
