Lima, OH (WIMA) - The unemployment rate for Allen County went down in August.
Numbers from the state's Department of Job and Family Services show Allen County had 5.1% unemployment, down from 5.9% in the previous month.
Putnam County's rate also went down slightly from 4 percent to 3.6%
Auglaize County had 3.9% unemployment, Van Wert County was 4%, and Mercer County continues to have the lowest unemployment numbers in the state, at 3.2%.
The statewide unemployment rate climbed to 5.4%.
