Lima, OH (WIMA) -- There's now another source to receive urgent weather and other emergency information.
Allen County EMA Director Tom Berger unveiled "Alert Allen County" last week.
He explained the system will be valuable when it comes to getting the first word on severe weather.
The system will also cover other announcements such as road closings and other emergencies deemed necessary by law enforcement to alert the public about.
Alerts are delivered to your cell phone as a text message, or to your e-mail inbox.
