Lima, Ohio (WIMA) - The Lima City Council Neighborhood Concerns Committee met on Thursday night to continue discussions about the possibility of allowing chickens within the city limits.

Several Lima residents spoke on the behalf of changing the ordinance to allow chickens within city limits- but two of the council members Jesse Lowe and Sam Mclean are still not sure how it will work- as a majority of their constituents have voiced that they don’t want chickens in Lima.

The discussion will remain within the committee as City Law Director Tony Geiger is going to do some research on how other cities enforce and handle chickens within city limits and try to come up with a proposal.
